The Harman Motive Cold-Air Intake for the 2002-07 WRX and STI was designed to improve horsepower, torque, and response without affecting fuel trims and tuning.
The gains in power come from reduced restriction. Pulling cool air from the passenger fenderwell, the factory inlet scoop can be retained to provide more cool fresh air to the unit.
